PRINTS



Printing it's a process of applying colors to fabric in different patterns or designs. In properly printed fabrics the color is bonded with the fiber. so as to resist washing and friction. Textile printing is related to dyeing but, whereas in dyeing proper the hole fabric is uniformly covered with single color, in printing one are more colors are applied to it in certain parts and defined patterns. In printing we have lots of things are there to place colors on the fabric, like wooden blocks, stencil, engraved plates, rollers or silk screens, etc.

Paisley Print: 

It consist of stylized pine cone or tree of life motive which is a pattern derived from Indian origin mostly of mango shape. These are printed pattern first imported to Europe during the early 19th century derived from East-Indian shawls. 





French provincial: 

It consist of a design with small stylized floral prints often surrounded by dots of color that contrast with the background.






Applique (or) Patch work pattern:
It is a combination of prints and different fabrics in compatible color and different sizes fabric join together to form a new pattern.





Block print:
It is rustic looking print with unclear border which is used to print Ethnic prints on cotton and also cotton goods. This pattern is done by blocks which is made up of wood or metal. This blocks are then dipped in color or dyes and are placed on the fabric to create a print.





Tie & Dye:
It is a traditional print which has got circular design pattern formed by knotting the fabric area with thick thread which resist the dye from passing through the tied area. For this design generally dark color dyes are used.






Bandana print:
It is adopted from traditional Bandana scarf pattern, which has mostly got bold prints & patterns brightly colored . Mostly primary's are used.





Batik:
It consist of traditional design patterns having softly cracked surface that results from the dye which practically penetrates through the cracked wax surface.





Ikat:
It is an ethnic printing hand loom techniques which prints the pattern on warp threads before weaving & adjoining it when a filler or weft yarn is passed a pattern created with a fragmented edge.
